Meet Rachael
I started my career in the custom home building industry at the young age of 18, located on the space coast of Florida. I started my journey at my parent’s custom home-building company, which was established in the mid-1980s. From that moment, it didn’t take long to realize that the Custom Home Industry was the profession for me. I loved everything from helping with the designing and drawing plans, interior design from exterior finishes to the interior finishes, and being on the job site as well as facilitating the process.
When I relocated to North Carolina in mid-2007, it was my goal to pair with a custom home builder in the area and strive to help clients build their dreams. In 2017, I made the decision to take a leap of faith and step out on my own as a custom home builder. My idea was to fill a hole in the market with several spec homes that modeled modern farmhouses on several acres to build dream homes for families. This idea has flourished into Ridgewater Custom Homes.
Meet Tarah
Tarah joined Ridgewater Custom Homes in 2018 after helping with previous spec home interior/exterior selections. Custom home-building business runs in the family as Tarah is Rachael’s sister. She enjoys the interior/exterior designing of color palettes, flooring selections/textures, lighting/plumbing fixtures, and all the in-between that ties the home together.
Tarah has always helped with the decisions on previous home spec selections when I started the company. So as the business got busier, she became a part of the team to help the clients select their finishes from exterior to interior. She previously worked in the medical administration field before making her jump to the custom home interior/exterior design field.
Experience & Vision
The company has evolved from solely building custom spec homes to building on-your-site custom homes from in the country to on the lake. With over 20 years of experience, it’s our goal to help our clients achieve their dream homes within their budget.
Starting with Rachael’s vision of starting the business and continuing with the addition of Tarah to the team in 2018 as our interior/exterior designer, our team is ready to make your dream come to life.
